How to measure your Motor home & Awning

Decide where you want to fix your awning on your vehicle and measure distance A. The longest this can be is the length of the Awning Cord on your chosen Awning. For Van based conversions we recomend you ensure the side door can be opened sufficiently to enter and exit the vehicle. For coachbuilts check your chosen fixing points will clear any windows and Doors

Take distance B and C from ground level to the point your awning will be fixed to the vehicle. This will usually be the Gutter rail, Awning Channel, Fiamma/Omnistor Wind-out awning or roof level

Remember A + B + C is the total length of the Awning Tunnel. You can adjust the length of A to give longer or shorter dimensions to B & C

i.e. For the Kyham Classic. The Total Tunnel Length is 600cm. Using the full length of the awning cord Dimension A= 300cm which will give sides of 150cm. (300cm +( 2x 150cm) = 600cm) HOWEVER if you only attach 200cm of the awning cord to the vehicle you will have side lengths of 200cm (200cm + (2 x 200cm) = 600cm).
